Our mission here at Metrosphere is for burgeoning artists and writers to get their work out of the classroom, studio, or workshop setting. In keeping with that, we’ve found a great opportunity for you artists! Unit E and Primed are hosting a local juried art show and they want entries! There is a $200 Best in Show cash prize, and the show will be on November 2nd at 1201 Santa Fe Dr. in the Santa Fe Art District.
You can drop off a ready to hang or display piece October 24th-27th in the Painting studio (Arts 172). The hours to do so are:
- 9-5pm Wednesday-Friday
- 8-12pm Saturday
If you are planning to submit any 3D pieces, they must be picked up/ dropped off/ installed by the artist. You’ll also need to be sure to bring your $5 per piece entry fee.
If you’ve got any questions, you can contact arndtt@msudenver.edu.
Metrosphere is hoping to be there to watch all these great artists display their work! Check in later for our post that will cover all of the action!

There are a couple of other opportunities we’ve found out about since this post!
1. Center for Visual Art POP-UP Shop
Have the chance to sell your artwork/ creative wares at the CVA during the Creative Impulse Festival happening Nov. 8-10. To reserve a space you can call 303-294-5207 or send an email to cowanst@msudenver.edu
2. Cherry Creek Arts Festival’s Emerging Artist Program and the Artist Image Review Workshop
The programming and office coordinator said this about the two programs:
-Colorado Artist Image Review Workshop, presented by The Cherry Creek Arts Festival, this will be an opportunity where artist can submit slides of their artwork and have their work projected in a true jury setting, and receive feedback from a professional former CCAF juror. This will take place on Thursday, November 15th at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm. Deadline to submit your images are Wednesday, October 31st.
- We also offer an Emerging Artist Program, designed specifically for artists who have no experience exhibiting and selling their artwork at any venue, OR extremely minimal experience if any. The application procedure and fee are the same as the regular show, however, upon acceptance emerging artists will pay a lower booth fee of $350, have a tent provided and receive mentoring through the Arts Festival.
