Looking Back: Volume 19

Cover for Vol. 19

As we begin designing Volume 31, we wanted to first take a look back at the evolution of Metrosphere over the years. What could we learn from the editors of the past? What we found was that each volume had a distinctive feel to it that was just as individual as the editor that created it. In order to honor that, we’ve decided to feature one volume a post, and highlight some of the student works from it.

For this post, we go back to Volume 19. The casual, social feeling that the cover evokes is carried throughout: simple white pages and coffee cups everywhere. They travel from the cover, to the printed page numbers, to the art inside the covers. It begs you to sit down, relax, and simply enjoy the great art and literature inside.
